The Melanie Rosborough Papers document the academic career of an important faculty member at the University of Miami. Many files document activities with professional academic organizations outside the University of Miami. Local activities documented in the papers concern religious organizations on campus.  Materials relate to both university planned activities such as the "Inter-Faith dinners" held during orientation week, and to university policy regarding religious programs such as the "Religion in American Life Program" and the "Campus Crusade for Christ."

Files for the Faculty Religious Activities Committee involve topics such as the university catalogue statement on religion, and scholarships and fellowships offered through religious organizations. Files contain memos, newsletters, records, and programs pertaining to Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, and other religious organizations on campus. Records include minutes of meetings of the Committee on Religious Activities, programs and correspondence.
