Originally conceived and organized in 1925, the Coral Gables Garden Club has served the local city of Coral Gables in its planning by helping create and nurture its many gardens and beautiful landscapes. The club was founded by Eunice Peacock Merrick and Althea Merrick out of a shared love of horticulture and has grown considerably since then and maintained their commitment to civic improvement through gardening. Today, the club is composed of 150 community members who actively contribute to Coral Gables' local institutions and businesses, including providing scholarships and educational programs, as well as assisting youth-oriented gardening clubs.

Their records contain scrapbooks, meeting minutes, president papers, yearbooks, guestbooks, photographs, programs, pamphlets, news clippings, awards, ephemera, administrative documents, and other archival materials, all pertaining to the club and its various events and initiatives over the years.

Coral Gables Chapter Records consists of scrapbooks, correspondence, photographs, clippings, awards, certificates, yearbooks, periodicals, and other documents pertaining to the chapter, ranging from 1926 to 2000. The scrapbooks document the affairs and activities of the chapter primarily by means of photographs and clippings, but often a contextual or historical narrative is added as well. A few materials, largely yearbooks of other chapters or conference proceedings, not specifically from the Coral Gables chapter are also included.

The Funding Arts Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the arts in Miami-Dade County through publicly funding grants for various art-related institutions, events, projects, and educational initiatives. The organization originally formed in 1996 under the name of Fifty over Fifty, Inc. with the initial goal of recruiting 50 members who would each contribute $1,000 a year to form a pool of $50,000 that would be endowed to the arts. Both the award pool and membership grew considerably over time, and by 2018, they had funded over 108 art organizations and had awarded $4,822,600 in grants. Their records contain past grant applications, newsletters, correspondence, contracts, awards, audio-visual materials, press clippings, bylaws, reports, minutes, membership lists, and other administrative documents for the organization.

Dr. George W. O'Connor was a criminal justice professor at the University of Miami, also active with the Center for Urban Studies. He also served as director of the Professional Standards Division of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

The George W. O'Connor Papers consist of documents pertaining to his work in both academia and in the public sector. Many of the papers are concerned with criminal justice, firearms control, court structure and operation, local Floridian court systems, and correctional institutions.

The H. Franklin Williams Papers provide an extensive record of the activities of the Economic Opportunity Program, Inc. (EOPI), a non-profit corporation established to provide "through governmental or private means economic opportunity for the citizens and residents of Dade County, Florida and to further assist in the war against poverty...". The program coordinated governmental units and local agencies involved in implementing the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Williams was a professor of history and administrator at the University of Miami from 1939 to 1972.

Haitian Student Organization collection consists of memorabilia kept in a time capsule, such as organizational records, event brochures, meeting minutes, newsletters, photographs, the Haitian national flag, and news clippings, buried on October 16, 2004 and opened on October 18, 2014.  The collection was donated by the Planet Kreyol Haitian Student Organization of the University of Miami to the University Archives in January 2015.

The donor, Planet Kreyol, was founded in 1993 at the University of Miami as the Haitian Student Organization and later renamed as Planet Kreyol. Their mission is to promote cultural awareness while servicing the community and preserving the ancestry of Haiti.

The Fuchs Baking Co. bakery in Miami, colloquially known as the Holsum Bakery, was founded in 1913 and closed in 1994. The Holsum Bakery Collection contains reports, minutes, certificates, brochures, appraisal reports, and other official files, documents, and memorabilia pertaining to the bakery.

The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is a progressive, diversified trade union that primarily represents operating engineers, who work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and surveyors in the construction industry, and stationary engineers, who work in operations and maintenance in building and industrial complexes, and in the service industries. IUOE also represents nurses and other health industry workers, a significant number of public employees engaged in a wide variety of occupations, as well as a number of job classifications in the petrochemical industry (https://www.iuoe.org/). This collection focuses on Local 487, based in Miami, FL, and their minutes and bylaws from 1911 to 2012.

Photographs: candid photos of KWLS authors and attendees; some studio/posed portraits.

Organizational records (6 cubic feet): 3-ring binders containing board agendas, minutes, related correspondence, and press clippings. Financial records (3 cubic feet) tax and accounting records, grant records.

Audio recordings: approximately 75 unique audio cassettes, 20 unique DAT (digital audio tape) recordings; 100+ unique CD (compact disc) recordings 1999-2008; 85 GB unique audio stored on digital drives, 2009-2014.

Video recordings: 7 VHS cassettes.

Ephemera and other promotional materials: posters, programs, postcards, and publications.

Books received with the donation will be cataloged separately.
