The Alan Crockwell Collection contains a variety of materials from different sources that document the history of Miami, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and greater Miami-Dade County. Much of the content is related to Ralph Middleton Munroe and his family. Topically, the papers also address criminal history in Miami-Dade County, historic buildings in Coconut Grove including the Barnacle and the Coconut Grove Library, the history of the University of Miami, and the early settling of Miami-Dade County. The dates of items range from 1873 into the 1970s.

Born Linnea Eleanor Yeager in March 13, 1929, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, "Bunny" gained international fame as both a model and a photographer. She moved to Miami at a young age and first attracted local interest as a model, winning several pageants and gracing the pages of popular magazines. While she was modeling, she developed a knack for designing and sewing together her own bikinis, and her style became rather prolific in the fashion circuit for many years after.
Since creating portfolios was rather expensive while Bunny was trying to break out into the modeling industry, she was motivated to learn photography and took several night classes to hone her abilities and create her own portfolios. She eventually developed her signature method of photography that allowed her to take pictures of models using natural light through the "fill flash" method. Her style helped to reinvent the genre of nude and pin-up photography, taking it from its roots of overt raunchiness and elevating it into an art form that centered around playful sensuality and provocativeness. Her photos have been featured in Playboy, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, Esquire and many other big-name magazines, and she was also credited in helping to make Bettie Page into a household name as well as other famous pin-up models such as Lisa Winters. Her career also includes several self-penned books, including such titles as How I Photograph Myself, How to take Figure Photos, Photographing the Female Figure, and How I Photograph Nudes.
Bunny Yeager eventually passed away in May 25, 2014 in North Miami, but her legacy as one of the leading pioneers of pin-up photography remains. Her collection captures her eclectic history with an array of scrapbooks, correspondence, ephemera, photographs and clippings, all which illustrate her passion for her work.

Clipper Pioneers is an organization of former Pan Am pilots and flight crew. This collection includes Pan Am records such as memoranda, flight manuals, and accident reports as well as clippings, log books, pilot files, scrapbooks and photographs.
Originally conceived and organized in 1925, the Coral Gables Garden Club has served the local city of Coral Gables in its planning by helping create and nurture its many gardens and beautiful landscapes. The club was founded by Eunice Peacock Merrick and Althea Merrick out of a shared love of horticulture and has grown considerably since then and maintained their commitment to civic improvement through gardening. Today, the club is composed of 150 community members who actively contribute to Coral Gables' local institutions and businesses, including providing scholarships and educational programs, as well as assisting youth-oriented gardening clubs.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) Coral Gables Chapter Records consists of scrapbooks, correspondence, photographs, clippings, awards, certificates, yearbooks, periodicals, and other documents pertaining to the chapter, ranging from 1926 to 2000. The scrapbooks document the affairs and activities of the chapter primarily by means of photographs and clippings, but often a contextual or historical narrative is added as well. A few materials, largely yearbooks of other chapters or conference proceedings, not specifically from the Coral Gables chapter are also included.
The Dorothy Brannen Thomas Collection contains a scrapbook collecting letters, photographs, clippings, and other documents pertaining to cadets from the Royal Air Force who trained at the Pan American Training Academy at the University of Miami prior to World War II. Also included are letters from some of the cadets stationed there.
The Dorothy E. Mills Flight Attendant papers contains materials related to her tenure as a stewardess of the Latin American Division and later chief stewardess of the Atlantic Division for the Pan American World Airways in the 1940s. Held in the collection are the following items:

The Edgar Hay Papers contain articles, short stories and other writings, correspondence, photographs and scrapbooks with clippings of the column "Show Folks" which he wrote for the Miami Herald.
The papers of Erl Roman, well known sport fisherman and skilled writer and publicist, provide information about the sport of angling and about the University of Miami's early years. The records, dated 1935-64, are divided into four series. SERIES I: CORRESPONDENCE and SERIES IV: SCRAP BOOKS, document Roman's fishing career as well as laws and events influencing the sport. SERIES II: TOPICAL FILES relate to fishing and to Roman's involvement with the University of Miami. SERIES III: PRESS RELEASES contains the press releases issued by Roman for the University of Miami Office of Public Information.
The Evelyn Frink Scrapbook documents the activities of the Miami Beach garden clubs that led to the construction of the Miami Beach Garden Center and Conservatory. The clippings, photographs, reports, speeches and correspondence capture Mrs. Frink’s work as chairman of the Garden Center Committee from its inception to the inauguration of the garden center and conservatory.
The Finlay B. Matheson collection includes more than 2,411 photographs; 112 maps, surveys, and architectural plans; and 13 books related to William John Matheson and his immediate family. Estate documents and other documents containing historical and biographical information pertaining to the Matheson family and their various business ventures can also be found within this collection, as well as drawings, postcards, and some of the first aerial view photographs of Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, the Miami River, and the Florida Keys. Florida's landscape during the early 20th century is captured throughout the various albums and scrapbooks and attests to a more leisurely lifestyle before the advent of skyscrapers and multi-lane highways. Furthermore, the collection provides an in-depth glimpse into the burgeoning social life of early inhabitants who gathered at the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club.
The Florida Philharmonic, Inc. Records contain financial records, administrative files, and scrapbooks pertaining to the Greater Miami Philharmonic, which later became known as the Florida Philharmonic under conductor Brian Priestman.
The Frost Museum of Science had originally opened in 1950 under the name the Junior Museum of Miami and has since underwent several renovations and relocations. It had also been renamed in 1952 as the Museum of Science and Natural History and once again renamed in 2011 after Phillip and Patricia, two wealthy and influential Miami philanthropists who have donated and supported various educational institutes and museums throughout South Florida, including the University of Miami. In its current inception, the Frost Museum of Science is located in Downtown Miami's waterfront Museum Park and offers a variety of STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math)-based exhibits, lectures, and shows. It is particularly well-known for hosting the show Star Gazers with Jack Horheimer (formerly Jack Horheimer: Star Hustlers and Jack Horheimer: Star Gazer).
This collection includes typescripts for the Star Gazers (Star Hustler) planetarium show, research files, exhibit files, exhibit prints, convention proceedings, pamphlets, historical news clippings, ephemera, periodicals, scrapbooks, photographs, event files, administrative records, and other archival documents pertaining to the Frost Museum of Science's day-to-day operations.
The collection includes a substantial body of writings by George Merrick, known primarily as the founder of the city of Coral Gables in South Florida. In 1916, he married Eunice Peacock, granddaughter of Coconut Grove pioneers, Charles and Isabella Peacock. The correspondence, short stories, essays, manuscripts, poems, speeches, clippings, proposals and plans from the collection document the literary aspirations, as well as the real estate career of George Merrick. His papers also include correspondence, clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, and ephemera from Eunice Peacock Merrick and other members of the Peacock and Merrick families. George Merrick’s close ties with the University of Miami and his contributions to the institution’s expansion are documented through correspondence, newspapers clippings, and ephemera. Dr. Granville Fisher was the head of the Psychology department at the University of Miami, and an independent artist. He founded the Granville Galleries on Ponce de Leon and Bird Road in 1959. The Granville Fisher Collection contains materials documenting his work as a psychologist and as an artist. The collection holds two scrapbooks as well as periodicals, pamphlets, programs, certificates, awards, letters, postcards, photographs, negatives, clippings, and one illustration with poetry dedicated to his son.
