University of Miami Foreign Languages and Literature Department
This collection provides records of the commencement ceremonies held by all the schools and departments of the University of Miami since 1927. It consists of UM Commencement Programs in print (1927-2014), UM Commencement Recordings (2003-2014), UM Commencement Photographs (2002-2009), UM Commencement Hard Drives, and UM Commencement Scripts (2003-2009) transferred from the University of Miami's Office of Commencement.
This collection contains official records, administrative documents, statistics, minutes, contracts, correspondence, ephemera, and reports compiled and created by the University of Miami School of Engineering from 1952 to 1988.
This collection contains administrative records for the University of Miami College of Arts, including annual reports, other general academic reports, programs, budget and finance records, speeches, grant files, and meeting minutes.
This collection contains thesis research compiled about the Alley Trail from a graduate student at the University of Miami College of Arts and Science Biology Department.
The University of Miami Citizens Board records contains directories, committee files, reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, event files, requisitions, certificates, membership records, biographies, and other documents pertaining to the board and their initiatives from the 1950s through the 1970s.
The reports are in two volumes: Volume one published in July 1992 and volume two (marked "As Amended - 1993") in 1993.

Volume two also includes “Proposed Amendments to the Coral Gables Campus Design Manual by Barbara White, AIA, University Architect and Celeste Manolas, Associate University Architect” dated June 1, 1996 and “Proposed Amendments to the Coral Gables Campus Plan by Michael Dennis & Associates, Architecture and Urban Design and Rafael I. Peruyera, Campus Planning and Programing” dated June 1, 1995. Another report was added in 2011, the University Campus District annual report.
The historical blueprints and the drawings of UM buildings are important components of the University Archives. The items in the collection are identified by building name, architect, location, types of materials, and date. Materials range in date from the earliest days of the University in the 1920s to current day materials.
This collection consists of academic bulletins created and published by University of Miami from 1926 to 2005. The UM academic bulletins serve as an aid for undergraduate and graduate students who need information about the university's academic programs and course listings.
The University of Miami Board of Trustees I.O.F. records contains minutes; charters; ledgers; agendas; and financial, legislative, and administrative documents.
This collection contains materials donated by members of the University of Miami Black Alumni Society. Contained within are photographs, event announcements, calendars, certificates, memorabilia, programs, plaques, and publications.
This collection captures the history of the University of Miami Biology Club. Contained within are administrative documents, correspondence, exams, financial records, laboratory notes, member lists, and member photographs.
This collection contains an array of materials that document the history and legacy of the University of Miami Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Contained within are photographs, audio-visual materials, publications, news and magazine clippings, sports statistics, contracts, questionnaires, and topical files.
The collection consists of popular consumer magazines of the United States, such as Life, The Saturday Evening Post, and Cosmopolitan, which contain articles on the University of Miami.
The collection consists of film and videos depicting the history and development of the University of Miami from its establishment in 1925 to present. These visual works were created by various schools and departments of the University, such as the University Communications, the School of Communication and the University of Miami Athletics.
Most of the titles in the collection are recorded in formats currently unplayable at the UM libraries, such as Umatic and Betacam. They have been gradually digitized by a reputable digital preservation company. Please contact the Archivist for further questions about future digitization of the collection.
The Alumni Association records collection contains organizational records, including bulletins, minutes of meetings, and newsletters, among other items.
