A collection of material from acclaimed theater director, Henry Fonte, who served as the producing artistic director at the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre and the Director of Conservatory Programs in University of Miami for five years. He received his initial education from the University of Florida, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in 1973 and a Master of Arts in teaching in 1976. His acting career began in New York City where he was a founding member of the Pearl Theatre Company. He later founded the New Works Development Program at the Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Connecticut.

The collection is primarily comprised of playscripts, production notes, playbills, and programs but also contains audio-visual materials, posters, photographs, clippings, correspondence, theater set models, and various related items and ephemera from Henry Fonte.

George Abbott (June 25, 1887 – January 31, 1995) was a famous and well-renowned playwright, producer, and director who worked out of New York City for most of his life until he retired and passed away in Miami Beach, Florida. Over the course of his career on Broadway, he received many awards and accolades for his work, including several Tony Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama (1960), and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Director (1983). To celebrate his vast contributions to the world of theater, George Abbott also had both a theater building, which was unfortunately demolished in 1970, and a street in New York Times Square, George Abbott Way, named after him.

His papers feature photographs, playscripts, playbills, financial documents, official records, music sheets, and other materials associated with his life and work on Broadway.

"The Fanny Kemble Playbill Collection is a collection of 28 playbills from 1829-1832, comprising of her years on the English stage and including her first performance on any stage. Fanny Kemble (Frances Ann Kemble, 1809-1893), the daughter of the actors Charles and Marie Kemble, was born in London on November 27, 1809. She made her first appearance on the stage when she appeared as Juliet in her father's production of "Romeo and Juliet" on October 5, 1829. Fanny was a great success, and this role was followed by several others in her father's Covent-Garden Theatre. She played all the principal women's parts, notably Portia, Beatrice, and Lady Teazle. Most of the performances were at Theatre Royal Covent-Garden with a few few performances at Theatre Royal Edinburgh where she performed with her brother on a tour in June of 1830." -Golden Legend, Inc.

The Caridad Svich Papers contain the personal and literary works of playwright Caridad Svich. This collection is organized into two series. Series 1 consists of original theater works as well as translations by Caridad Svich; materials related to the productions, such as playbills, advertisements, clippings and reviews; and articles about the playwrights. Series 2 consists of audiovisual material such as Mini DVs, CDs and tapes containing conferences presented by Caridad Svich and performance soundtracks. Series 3 contains magazines featuring Svich's writing.

The Billy Matthews collection documents the work of Terry Miller and Terry Helbing co-founders in the 1980's of the Meridian Gay Theater Production Company in New York. The archives include typescripts, clippings, articles, contact lists, reviews, and research files on various plays, theatrical history, and playwrights. The correspondence reflects the administrative history of the Meridian Gay Theater.

The Antonio Fernández Reboiro collection contains materials and artwork collected and created by Cuban artist Antonio Fernández Reboiro. A large part of the collection consists of art books and periodicals, books on the Orquestra Nacional de España, and materials on Hispanic theater, all predominantly dating from the 1970s to 1980s. The other large part of the collection is made up of posters with original artwork by Reboiro for various film and theater productions, many  of which were for Cuban productions.

The Antonia Rey and Andrés Castro Papers are comprised of photographs, photograph albums, clippings, and other ephemera related to the life and career of Antonia Rey and Andrés Castro.

The Abel González Melo Papers contains theater ephemera and publications collected by playwright Abel González Melo, including DVDs and programs of performances at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid directed by González and programs for Por Gusto, written by González Melo, performed at Repertorio Español in New York City.
