Power U for Social Change web collection - Social justice web collections

The Social Justice Web Collections archive the websites of grassroots organizations concerned with immigration, poverty, affordable housing, gentrification, environmental justice and race relations. Advocacy groups include: Catalyst Miami, Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC), the Haitian Women of Miami (FANM), the International Union of Operating Engineers (Local 487), Take Back the Land, Power U Center for Social Change, and the Community Justice Project.

Works; undated, 1953-1998

This series includes scripts of plays directed by Dumé along with materials related to his theatrical productions such as photographs, reviews, programs, set designs, and posters. This series also includes materials related to the poetry recitals that Dumé presented.

Juan J. Remos Award

The series (boxes 5-11) contains articles, awards, circular letters, correspondence, Cuban Cultural Day records, homages and seminars, all concerning this particular award.

Political Activity and Propaganda Files

This series contains files that include proclamations (broadsides) and circulars, clippings, posters, reports, audiovisual materials, articles, etc. about anti-communist propaganda campaigns in and outside of Cuba. The series also includes plans and strategy reports, intelligence reports (many of them sent to the CIA). Periodicals titles published by DRE, such as Trinchera and Cuban Report have been removed from this collection and added to the Cuban Heritage Collection’s Cuban Exile Periodicals collection, and DRE pamphlets have been integrated with the CHC Pamphlets Collection.

Works undated, [1950-2002]

This series contains manuscripts and typescripts of poems, stories, articles, and play scripts, adaptations, translations. Sub-series 1: Plays includes scripts and programs of plays Corrales authored and also plays by other writers that Corrales directed or in which he acted.

Luna" Mission

The series (boxes 21-22) contains correspondence, collaborators, financial records, publications, travels and general material pertaining to the mission which is divided in three parts Luna I, II and III.

Political Parties

The series (boxes 27-28) includes by-laws, clippings, congresses and conferences, elections, publications, correspondence among other material pertaining to political parties in Latin América and Europe.

Associations and Institutions

The series (boxes 30-34) consists of by-laws, clippings, correspondence, congresses, press releases, seminars, publications, surveys and other material pertaining to various associations and institutions.

Government Reports and Development Plans

Collection of development plans and government reports. The bulk relate South Beach and Miami Beach redevelopment in the 1970s and 1980s. Outlying dates run from 1966 to the early 1990s.
