This collection contains photo albums, photographs, calendars, interviews, news clippings, notes, correspondence, manuscripts, drafts, resumes/CVs, contracts and other legal documents, and other archival documents concerning Sue McCourt Cobb’s career as the United States Ambassador to Jamaica (2001-2005) under the George W. Bush administration, as the former Secretary of State of Florida (2005-2007), and her activities afterwards, along with her climb of Mt. Everest and her autobiography. The collection also features materials pertaining to her family members, including her husband Charles E. Cobb Jr., who was the United States Ambassador to Iceland and who held several national and local cabinet positions under the Reagan and Bush administrations.

Originally conceived and organized in 1925, the Coral Gables Garden Club has served the local city of Coral Gables in its planning by helping create and nurture its many gardens and beautiful landscapes. The club was founded by Eunice Peacock Merrick and Althea Merrick out of a shared love of horticulture and has grown considerably since then and maintained their commitment to civic improvement through gardening. Today, the club is composed of 150 community members who actively contribute to Coral Gables' local institutions and businesses, including providing scholarships and educational programs, as well as assisting youth-oriented gardening clubs.

Their records contain scrapbooks, meeting minutes, president papers, yearbooks, guestbooks, photographs, programs, pamphlets, news clippings, awards, ephemera, administrative documents, and other archival materials, all pertaining to the club and its various events and initiatives over the years.

American petroleum baron and founder of the Florida East Cost Railroad, Henry Flagler (1830-1913) created the Model Land Company (MLC) in 1896 to manage his rapidly expanding real estate holdings in the state of Florida. The Model Land Company Records do not represent the comprehensive records of the MLC but does constitute a large portion of the surviving records. The files consist of the administrative and financial records of the MLC's Miami-based land agent, Frederick S. Morse, and those agencies that followed Morse: Pepper and Potter; Pepper and Coffrin, Inc.; Frank J. Pepper and Son, Inc.; and Frank J. Pepper, Inc.
