The 27-page report "The professional preparation and placement of Cuban refugee teachers" was written by Herbert W. Wey and John F. Newport and published by the University of Miami in 1964. It was published under a grant from the United States Office of Education.
During the spring and summer of 1963, a pilot project for the professional preparation and placement of Cuban refugee teachers was conducted at the University of Miami. It enabled thirty-two of the thirty-four Cuban refugees who were in the program to be employed as regular teachers in the Dade County (Miami, Florida) schools.
The University Archives holds two copies of the report.
The English/Spanish and Spanish/English dictionary, 2nd edition, was published by Editorial America, S.A. in Panama. It is in 412 pages and lists 38,400 words and its meanings.
The Direccion General of the publication was Dr. Maria Eloisa Alvarez de Real, the Subdirector was Carlos Roman, and the representative of the University of Miami was Dr. Gerald G. Curtis.
The reports are in two volumes: Volume one published in July 1992 and volume two (marked "As Amended - 1993") in 1993.

Volume two also includes “Proposed Amendments to the Coral Gables Campus Design Manual by Barbara White, AIA, University Architect and Celeste Manolas, Associate University Architect” dated June 1, 1996 and “Proposed Amendments to the Coral Gables Campus Plan by Michael Dennis & Associates, Architecture and Urban Design and Rafael I. Peruyera, Campus Planning and Programing” dated June 1, 1995. Another report was added in 2011, the University Campus District annual report.
The University of Miami Board of Trustees I.O.F. records contains minutes; charters; ledgers; agendas; and financial, legislative, and administrative documents.
The U.M. Historical Photograph Collection holds over 500,000 photographs, negatives, and slides that document the University’s growth from the 1920s through the presidency of Henry King Stanford in the 1970s. The collection is especially rich in images showcasing UM sports, the expansion of each campus, student life, and special events such as commencement ceremonies.
The collection consists of film and videos depicting the history and development of the University of Miami from its establishment in 1925 to present. These visual works were created by various schools and departments of the University, such as the University Communications, the School of Communication and the University of Miami Athletics.
Most of the titles in the collection are recorded in formats currently unplayable at the UM libraries, such as Umatic and Betacam. They have been gradually digitized by a reputable digital preservation company. Please contact the Archivist for further questions about future digitization of the collection.
US Publications was the official newspaper of the United Black Students of the University of Miami in the 1970s.
The University Archives holds three issues of the newspaper: Vol. 1, No. 1, October 1, 1974 (2 copies); Vol. 1, No. 2, November 1, 1974 (3 copies); and Vol. 1, No. 3, February 22, 1975 (1 copy).
THE FORCE stands for Forecasting and Optimization Routines for Computer Execution. The publication consists of programs for execution on the Apple II microcomputer, which has been designed as supplemental material for an introductory survey course in quantitative decision making.
The programs of the FORCE are contained in two single sided micro-computer diskettes that acommpany this user's manual. They were developed by Edward K. Baker and Frank M. Sarfati, Department of Management Science and Computer Systems, University of Miami in 1983.
The manual and the programs were donated to the University Archives by Dr. Edward Baker.
This collection contains notebooks, articles, newspaper clippings, letters, flyers, and drawings from the University's summer session workshops held in Oaxaca, Mexico.
