This collection contains the personal papers of Dr. Eileen Ramsaran, a medical doctor who, from 2000 to the present, has been working as the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director at the North Miami Beach Medical Center, a facility which provides quality medical services at no cost to adults and children from low-income backgrounds and who have no health insurance. The facility primarily serves as a cost-effective alternative to hospitals, and Dr. Ramsaran's papers detail much of her research and initiatives when it comes to providing good health care to those who cannot afford it. To honor her work and dedication to those of the community, she was awarded various accolades, including the "Physician of the Year" Award for 2006-2007 and the "President's Call to Service" Award in 2014, and her clinic also received the "Health Service Provider of the Year" Award from the State of Florida in 2005.
Dr. Eileen Ramsaran was a Pan American World Airway (Pan Am) flight attendant from 1978 to 1991. She completed her premedical studies while still flying for Pan Am.
The Dr. Carlos Prío Socarrás papers document the life and career of politician Carlos Prío Socarrás, President of Cuba from 1948 to 1952. The materials include correspondence, interviews, photographs, illustrations, and other memorabilia.
The collection consists of scrapbooks containing slides, presentations, and publicity reports for the Marlboro Cup, Coca-Cola, the Fair of Spain, and the Fair of Seville in Miami produced by Sánchez and Levitan, Inc. The donation also included CDs, four VHS tapes, clippings, artist books and exhibition catalogs.

Most material is contained within unbound scrapbook pages from scrapbooks that had been compiled by artist Dorothy S. Krause, who works with and studies book arts.
The Dorothy E. Mills Flight Attendant papers contains materials related to her tenure as a stewardess of the Latin American Division and later chief stewardess of the Atlantic Division for the Pan American World Airways in the 1940s. Held in the collection are the following items:
Four letters by Mills to William Brown, Head of Special Collections in 1997, discussing the materials donated to the collection and her history with the Pan American World Airways.
An acceptance letter, an award letter (written and signed by founder Juan Trippe), and a resignation letter from Pan American World Airways.

The Dorothy Brannen Thomas Collection contains a scrapbook collecting letters, photographs, clippings, and other documents pertaining to cadets from the Royal Air Force who trained at the Pan American Training Academy at the University of Miami prior to World War II. Also included are letters from some of the cadets stationed there.
The Dora Plavetic collection consists of unpublished manuscript of a book titled "Orgullosamente balseros cubanos" written by Cuban rafters at Guantánamo Bay. The manuscript includes drawings, caricatures and photographs.
Donald W. Thomson worked for Pan American World Airways from 1932 to 1976 when he retired as the company's treasurer. His papers include corporate records, memoranda, reports, memorabilia and photographs. Bound volumes of annual reports and books were separated from the collection for cataloging.

The Dolores Pujadas Codina Papers contain poems and other papers of Dolores Pujadas Codina; nine photographs of the poet; and editorials written by Pujadas Codina for El Tiempo Latino, a Washington, D.C., based newspaper. The collection also contains a copy of Pujadas Codina's most recent book, Espigas de amor.
The Documenting Diversity and Democracy in Brazil collection consists video recordings from sessions at the Documenting Diversity and Democracy in Brazil symposium, held virtually at University of Miami from April 12-13, 2021.
This symposium was created thanks to a grant sponsored by University of Miami Libraries as part of the CREATE Grant Fall 2019 grant Cycle Awards. The symposium was established to highlight the unique and richly-textured Leila Míccolis Brazilian Alternative Press collection. The event featured keynote presentations by João Silvério Trevisan (Brazilian LGBT activist, journalist, and novelist), Dr. Leila Míccolis (Lawyer, activist, and writer) and Sonia Guajajara (Brazilian environmental and indigenous activist and politician), alongside invited papers of scholars who had worked with the Collection to showcase intersectionalities and (dis)connections between burgeoning social and political movements in Brazil from the military dictatorship (1964–1985) to the present day, as well as works focusing on human rights, social justice, and cross-fertilization of historical and sociopolitical trajectories that shed more light on recovering the voices of marginalized Brazilians.

Other correspondence relates to Cuban Revolutionary officers, including Otten Mesana, José Figueredo, Armando Quesada and Luis Orlando Rodríguez.
