Base maps are orthophotographs prepared by the U.S. Department of Interior, Geological Survey from 1985 aerial photography. Coordinate grid ticks and land division corners, if shown, are approximately positioned."

Various maps of Metropolitan Miami-Dade were created for reference on tourism, rail lines, freight transportation, transit, political districts, community boundaries, water and green spaces, public building locations, "events and destinations corridor," and general land-use maps. Some data credited to Florida Power & Light. "Prof. Kaul" and "Prof. Valle" are mentioned. Student names include Markus A. Ketnath, Zaidi Mohd Daud, and Kristi Kenney.
