Custodial history

This collection originally began with the digitized photographs. Asela Torres allowed University of Miami Library to digitize a portion of her original negatives to include in the digital collections, but she kept the originals in her posession. In September, 2012 materials in the Verticle File, Theater Ephemera and Theater Poster collections with examples of Torres' work were pulled for inclusion in the Asela Torres Photography Collection.

February, 2013 Asela Torres donated 14 linear feet of new materials, including: periodicals she contributed photography/articles to; photographs of theater, personal life, etc.; theater programs, many of which she provided photography for; ACCA conference materials from 1980s/90s; clippings.
