Series 3 is arranged into five subseries that include Cabrera's manuscripts, informant files, and research notes and field notebooks pertaining principally to her work on Afro-Cuban religion and culture. Her writings on other topics are found in Sub-Series 4 of this series. Essays about Lydia Cabrera are also found in this series in Sub-Series 5.
