Series I consists of manuscript letters, minutes from meetings and financial records created by the Junta Revolucionaria Cubana (Cuban Revolutionary Committee) during the mid-nineteenth century. The Junta held meetings and exchanged correspondence among its members in Philadelphia, New York and New Orleans. This series contains correspondence to and from Gaspar Betancourt Cisneros, Domingo de Goicouría and Porfirio Valiente among other notable historical figures.
