The collection consists of memorandums, correspondence, and a brochure written by the Housing Office of the University of Miami for married students from 1967 to 1972.  It also includes several issues of “Married Student News” written by the Married Student Association of the university from 1971 to 1972.

This collection is open for research.

This collection is kept in an off-campus storage facility. Please contact the University Archivist, Nick Iwanicki, at ngi5@miami.edu with the boxes you are interested in prior to your visit, and allow up to 1 week for delivery of materials.

The documents were collected by Frederick Karrenberg (B.S. ‘68; M.S. ‘70), who lived in married student housing during the period, and donated to the University Archives by his partner Elizabeth Chifari (UM School of Law ’93) in July 2010.
