The 2013 Miami Beach election collection contains ephemera relating to the many candidates who ran for mayor or city commissioner in the 2013 Miami Beach election. Major issues of the campaigns included the proposed redevelopment of the Miami Beach Convention Center, ongoing flooding issues on the island, as well as more general issues such as corruption and traffic. The collection also includes ephemera relating to a bond referendum for the Jackson Health System, a charter amendment regarding the redevelopment of the Miami Beach Convention Center, sample ballots, and newspaper articles.

Unique folders were created for each candidate. Attack ads are foldered under the name of the candidate that they attack, but kept in a separate folder from the flyers and advertisements promoting that candidate. The bond referendum for Jackson Health System materials and the ephemera relating to the redevelopment of the Miami Beach Convention Center have been placed in their own folders, as have the sample ballots and the newspaper articles.

The collection is open for research.

Items from this collection are kept on-campus and may be requested from the first floor Kislak Center in the Otto G. Richter Library at University of Miami.
