"The album contains 109 photographs, 47 are 20 by 25 cm., 72 are 8 by 13 cm. 27 bear the embossed stamp of 'W.E. Landes, Photgrapher, West Palm Beach, Fla. Fine unfaded images of downtown, beaches, construction, agriculture, public works projects and others taken through this boom period. Bound in black fabrakoid, photos are laid down on linen cloth. Typed slip pasted on front cover.' A view of part of the business section of West Palm Beach, Florida county seat of Palm Beach County, which is situated on the mainland just across Lake Worth from the resort of Palm Beach. The town is connected with the resort by bridges and West Palm Beach with a population of approximately 12,000 and showed the remarkable increase of 396% from 1910 to 1920 while Palm Beach County showed an increase of 234% in the same period and the State of Florida 28%. The banks had deposits of a few hundred thousands in 1910, but now have over seven millions.
