This series contains documents, letters, photographs, advertisements, clippings, notes, and other personal materials documenting Walter Etling’s business and community activities; his affiliation with the University of Miami; and his personal life. Includes class notes, assignments, clippings, and other materials generated while Etling attended the University of Miami; materials related to class reunions; studies for a painting by Etling that is on the cover of Rendezvous with Greatness; documents and clippings concerning Charles “Bebe” Rebozo and Richard Nixon; memorabilia sold by Etling; business statistics; photographs; and other materials. Oversize materials include two surveys of the Tropical Isle Homes development and three issues of the Miami Hurricane student newspaper from 1948 and 1968, as well as certificates and studies for paintings.
