Authority recordFlorinda Alzaga was a Cuban essayist and professor. Born in Camagüey in 1930, Dr. Alzaga authored various books and articles and lectured on issues of Cuba, philosophy, and religion, as well as presiding over the Círculo de Cultura Panamericano.
Alzaga graduated from the University of Havana in 1952. She worked as a professor in Cuba until her exile in 1960. Teaching throughout South Florida, the bulk of Dr. Alzaga’s professional activity in the United States took place at Barry University.
The author’s notable publications include Ensayo de diccionario del pensamiento vivo de la Avellanedaand Raíces del alma cubana.

Concepción "Concha" Alzola was a Cuban writer, journalist and professor of children's literature and folklore. Throughout her career she published more than ten books and pamphlets on a wide range of topics, most notably on children's folklore and linguistics.

Nattacha Amador was born in Havana on April 18, 1949. She was an actress and singer, known for her work in "Curdled" (1996), "¿Qué pasa, U.S.A.?"(1977), and "Guadalupe" (1993). She was one of the first actresses to perform at Miami's Teatro Avante in plays such as "Electra Garrigó," "Una caja de zapatos vacía," "La noche de los asesinos," "Bodas de sangre," and "La Chunga." Throughout her career, she also performed in "La casa de Bernarda Alba," "El hombre de La Mancha," and "Cecilia Valdés." She died in Aurora, Colorado, on September 11, 2021.
