Historique
Florinda Alzaga was a Cuban essayist and professor. Born in Camagüey in 1930, Dr. Alzaga authored various books and articles and lectured on issues of Cuba, philosophy, and religion, as well as presiding over the Círculo de Cultura Panamericano.
Alzaga graduated from the University of Havana in 1952. She worked as a professor in Cuba until her exile in 1960. Teaching throughout South Florida, the bulk of Dr. Alzaga’s professional activity in the United States took place at Barry University.
The author’s notable publications include Ensayo de diccionario del pensamiento vivo de la Avellanedaand Raíces del alma cubana.
