This series contains mostly clippings and periodical publications of other organizations, institutions and associations as well as typescripts of articles written by Cuban exiles. It also contains tabloids and regular size newspapers found throughout the collection, which were transferred to this series for preservation purposes.
Arranged chronologically. This series contains photographs, clippings, documents, letters, programs, advertisements, brochures, and ephemera that Etling compiled into albums documenting his military service, student years at the University of Miami, professional activities, community service, and personal life. The albums were photocopied and then unbound for preservation purposes.
The series (box 2-4) consists of a bibliography, conferences, pamphlets and speeches by E. G. Rodríguez, clippings of articles by him and about him, photographs, several periodical publications, and some miscellaneous material.
Arranged alphabetically by name and chronologically. This series contains correspondence from Laurence Donovan and his family, friends, and professional associates. Major correspondents are arranged alphabetically by name and include: Maggie Donovan, Pat Donovan, Ruth Donovan, Jane Freeman, Frank Howard, Donald Justice, Judy O’Brien, Ronald Perry, and Hollis Reinhart. Most of the letters are incoming, but the series does contain some outgoing letters, most notably to Jane Freeman and Frank Howard. Also included are letters received by Donovan that are arranged chronologically. The correspondence provides insight into Donovan’s personal life, in addition to documenting his writing, artwork, and teaching.
Arranged alphabetically. This series contains poems written by Laurence Donovan, including typescripts and published poems. The typescripts, which include two groups of poems arranged alphabetically, are undated and some contain handwritten revisions. Also included are typed compilations of poems. A list of Donovan's poems can be found in the Related Materials section of this finding aid.
Arranged alphabetically by subject. This series contains writings by Laurence Donovan, including typescripts and photocopies of numerous book reviews that he wrote for the Miami Herald. Also included are papers, stories, limericks, and other materials that Donovan wrote over the course of his career.
This series contains documents concerning club operations and activities, including correspondence, financial records, membership information, programs, and photographs. The correspondence dates primarily from 1926-1945. The financial records date primarily from the 1930s-1940s, and include financial reports. Also included are materials concerning the Dade County Federation of Woman’s Clubs.
This series contains articles relating to Mike Howell, an American fisherman from New Orleans, Louisiana, who covertly took Cuban and Haitian exiles to their respective islands to bring family back to the United States.
This series contains articles and personal papers relating to Bernardo Benes, a prominent figure in Miami's Cuban exile community who spearheaded a dialogue with Fidel Castro that led to the release of political prisoners on the island.
The series includes her correspondence, working papers, manuscripts, published, and unpublished works. This series also contains correspondence, research notes, and works by Dolores and her husband, José Cid Pérez, such as the unpublished book entitled, El Teatro Hispanoamericano de Ayer y de Hoy.
The series is comprised of catalog cards divided by author, place, and topic. The author file contains information on Latin American writers; the geographical file contains information on the literature and theatre of many Latin American countries; the topical file contains general information on different topics, such as American indians, folklore, history, theatre, and women, as well as criticism.
Series 1 contains materials related to activities of the Ruston Academy school in Havana, Cuba as well as activities of the alumni group after the school was shut down in 1960.
