Haitian Student Organization collection consists of memorabilia kept in a time capsule, such as organizational records, event brochures, meeting minutes, newsletters, photographs, the Haitian national flag, and news clippings, buried on October 16, 2004 and opened on October 18, 2014. The collection was donated by the Planet Kreyol Haitian Student Organization of the University of Miami to the University Archives in January 2015.
The donor, Planet Kreyol, was founded in 1993 at the University of Miami as the Haitian Student Organization and later renamed as Planet Kreyol. Their mission is to promote cultural awareness while servicing the community and preserving the ancestry of Haiti.
The Alumni Association records collection contains organizational records, including bulletins, minutes of meetings, and newsletters, among other items.
The School of Music, Lucas Drew collection contains a varied selection of programs, news clippings, schedules, brochures, newsletters, and other miscellaneous papers, mainly from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music.
This collection contains the historical records of the University of Miami's Phi Lambda Pi, the honor society for married women. These records include correspondence, clippings, newsletters, reports, yearbooks, and minutes dating from the 1970s to the 1990s.
The collection consists of memorandums, correspondence, and a brochure written by the Housing Office of the University of Miami for married students from 1967 to 1972. It also includes several issues of “Married Student News” written by the Married Student Association of the university from 1971 to 1972.
