Many of the transitory materials grouped under ephemera include posters, postcards, leaflets, tracts, special editions, programs and menus published in countries such as the Bahamas, Brazil, Cuba, Curaçao Grenada, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad and Tobago.
This collection contains scrapbooks, postcards, brochures, travel itineraries, and other promotional materials related to the cruising industry operating out of Miami, Florida as collected and compiled by Russell F. Nansen, a travel executive and consultant who worked for Royal Caribbean Cruises for 21 years.
Harrington & Company, Inc. was a major shipping, trade, and commerce business operating out of the old Miami ports in the 1960s and 1970s. The former president, Neal Harrington, was elected as the president of the Miami Propeller Club in 1968 and headlined the cruise liner conglomerate for much of the company's history. This collection documents Harrington & Company through newspaper clippings, scrapbook, photographs, and other historical materials.
