Scope and content
Includes transcript, 3 page document. In this letter, Mr. Bunn advises Mr. Hooper to make his position clear on the compensation he intends to receive from his West Indian affair, and warns him that his security won't avail to anything if he allows his compensation to be received by proprietors of the Estates. This was in relation to the fact that slaves were being granted their freedom throughout the colonies. Mr. Bunn also mentions that ship owners will not be disposed to support Mr. Hooper's proposition for another harbor.
