Henry Melich was born in Czechoslovakia in 1924. He lived in London for a number of years where he was classically trained before relocating to the Bahamas in 1954 where he began his extensive work around the archipelago. While based in the Bahamas for the remainder of his life, his work extended to Jamaica, the United States, and England. The book "Island Follies" by Alaistar Gordon highlights Melich's residential work in the Bahamas. His work is a celebration of Bahamian architecture, as well as embracing a neo-historical hybrid of architectural styles. Many of the homes he designed were luxury vacation homes for the elite, notably for Prince and Princess Azamat Guirey. Melich completed over 50 projects before his death in 1999.

Born in Chicago in 1945, Lawson Corbett Little, studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design and later at the California Institute of the Arts. He moved to Key West in the 1970s and focused his photography on the local social life and culture of Key West while helping to establish the photography program as a teacher at the Florida Keys Community College. He later moved to Nashville, where he regularly photographed country musicians for books and publications, such as the Western Beat Entertainment's newsletter. His photography has also been featured in the Museum of Modern Art and the San Francisco Art Institute. Some of his more famous subjects include Shel Silverstein, Tennessee Williams, the Dixie Chicks, Bootsy Collins, and production photos for films by Roy Rogers and Martin Scorsese.

He passed away on December 25, 2023 in Pensacola, Florida.
