Biographical history
Justo Rodriguez Santos was a Cuban poet and member of Origenes, a prominent group of writers founded by Jose Lezama Lima. Rodriguez was born in Santiago and became disillusioned with Castro's government, leaving for New York City in 1967. He worked as an advertising executive for Goya Foods in the United States.

The Justo Rodriguez Santos Collection contains the personal papers of poet Justo Rodriguez Santos, including manuscripts of poems dated 1937-1974, books including El Diapason del Ventisquero, Los Naipes Conjurados, and Las Operas del Sueño. It also includes a eulogy by Octavio R. Costa.
