Name of creator
The College of Arts and Sciences, originally called the College of Liberal Arts, was one of the first two academic units of the University of Miami. It opened in the fall of 1926 with the aim of covering all subjects except music and art and is now the largest college of the University.
The College was established as a community of scholars and students that to this day encourages the quest for a deeper understanding of the human experience and fosters a personal commitment to lifelong learning, intellectual growth, and the enduring values of the liberal arts.

The collection contains magazines and newsletters published by the College of Arts and Sciences from 1982 to present, such as Focus (Spring 1982 - Summer 1984), Conerstone (Fall 1992 - Fall 1997) and Arts & Sciences (Fall 1998 to present).
The College of Arts & Sciences Magazine is produced in the fall and spring by the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami. The purpose of the magazine is to increase awareness of the college's activities by telling the stories of faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
