Name of creator
Biographical history
Born in Chicago in 1945, Lawson Corbett Little, studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design and later at the California Institute of the Arts. He moved to Key West in the 1970s and focused his photography on the local social life and culture of Key West while helping to establish the photography program as a teacher at the Florida Keys Community College. He later moved to Nashville, where he regularly photographed country musicians for books and publications, such as the Western Beat Entertainment's newsletter. His photography has also been featured in the Museum of Modern Art and the San Francisco Art Institute. Some of his more famous subjects include Shel Silverstein, Tennessee Williams, the Dixie Chicks, Bootsy Collins, and production photos for films by Roy Rogers and Martin Scorsese.
He passed away on December 25, 2023 in Pensacola, Florida.

A collection of photographs, negatives, prints, CD-Rs, and external hard-drives full of images taken by photographer, Lawson Corbett Little (1945-2023). Also included are some copies of Western Beat Entertainment newsletter, for which Little regularly provided photographs.
